HBM & Riggs Autopack Equip WA’s Food Tech Facility with Cutting-Edge Depositor

HBM Plastics & Packaging Technologies Pty Ltd, with the support of Riggs Autopack Ltd UK, are pleased to supply a Model 1000 Series 3 depositor on loan to the Food Technology Facility in WA, operated by Murdoch University, and located in regional Nambeelup at the Food Innovation Precinct Western Australia (FIPWA).

The Food Technology Facility is a project of the Food Futures CRC, with financial support from the WA State Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development. The team are gearing up for an official opening in February 2024 to showcase the purpose-built commercial R&D facility which will assist agribusiness SMEs to become market and export ready by supporting them with scale up initiatives and use the facility for product development and manufacturing.

Using the various technologies installed at the new Food Technology Facility, customers will gain valuable operational experience in a commercial manufacturing setting.

The Riggs Autopack Series 3 mobile piston filler will be utilised by Western Australian businesses, from start-ups to medium sized enterprises, to test and fill their liquid food products. It will be supplied with multiple cut-off valves providing flexibility to be able to fill different types of products in a wide range of containers.

Mark Holycross, Food Engineering Manager, said he is grateful for the support provided to the Food Technology Facility by HBM and Riggs Autopack and he is keen to take delivery of the new depositor and put it into production.

HBM are machinery suppliers to the FMCG industry who look forward to contributing more equipment to the Food Technology facility, and fostering a long and successful relationship with FIPWA and its clients.
